Creating File Share Backup Jobs

With NAKIVO Backup & Replication, you can back up NFS and SMB share folders located on supported NAS devices. To do this, you should create a file share backup job that specifies what file shares to back up, the target location for the backups, backup frequency, and backup options. The product also allows you to send file-share backup copies to tape for long-term data archiving. For details, refer to Backup Copy to Tape Recovery.

To create a file share backup job, click the plus Create button in the Data Protection menu and then click Backup for file share.

The New Backup Job Wizard for File Share opens. Complete the wizard as described in the sections below:
