File Level Backup

With NAKIVO Backup & Replication, you can select and back up individual volumes and folders located on Windows and Linux physical machines, as well as create backup copies of those volumes and folders. When a volume or folder is selected, all associated subfolders and files are automatically backed up.

NAKIVO Backup & Replication also provides multiple recovery options. You can recover selected files and folders to a custom share, download them directly through the browser, or forward them via email as attachments. In addition, file-level backup copies can be sent to tape for long-term data archiving and later recovered to a specified target destination.

For more details, refer to Backup Copy to Tape Recovery.

To protect your volumes and folders stored on Windows and Linux physical machines, proceed with the following steps:

  1. Adding Physical Machines a physical machine to the NAKIVO Backup & Replication inventory.

  2. Create a file-level backup job.

  3. Recover individual volumes and folders using the File Level Recovery Wizard when needed.
