File System Indexing

With File System Indexing enabled, each backup job run saves an index of files and folders from the source machine and maps it to the corresponding recovery point. This allows you to search for specific files and folders inside a backup using the Global Search dashboard.

The index of supported Windows/Linux operating systems only includes files, links, and directories; files and folders in NFS/CIFS shared folders, as well as removable disks and product component installation folders are excluded from indexing.
