Required Antivirus Exclusions For Director And Transporter

Problem

The antivirus software may sometimes cause the product functionality to either fail or underperform, resulting in issues such as slow backup and recovery speeds or seemingly random job failures.

Background

NAKIVO Backup & Replication always installs the Transporter in the default folder. The solution also uploads and runs a powershell script to configure WinRM. The script is uploaded to C:\nakivo_hyperv via C$ admin share. All these actions may result in antivirus software flagging NAKIVO Backup & Replication as a threat.

Solution

Exclude the following paths from the antivirus scan:

Microsoft Hyper-V

• C:\nakivo_hyperv

• C:\Program Files\NAKIVO Backup & Replication

Microsoft 365

• C:\Program Files\NAKIVO Backup & Replication\transporter\java\tmp
