How to Upgrade NAKIVO Backup & Replication from v9 to v11

Upgrading NAKIVO Backup & Replication from version 9 to version 11 requires an interim update to version 10.

Note

If you need to upgrade from NAKIVO v8 to v11, you must first upgrade sequentially through versions 9 and 10 before completing the final upgrade to v11.

Before Upgrading

1. Ensure your system meets the requirements for NAKIVO v11.

2. Schedule the upgrade during a maintenance window to minimize disruption to operations.

3. Visit the NAKIVO Downloads page and download the upgrade package for version 11.

4. Contact the Support Team to get the upgrade package for version 10.

Upgrading from v9 to v10

1. Stop all active jobs in NAKIVO Backup & Replication.

2. Run the installer on the server to install the version 10 upgrade package. Follow the wizard prompts to complete the installation.

3. Navigate to the Help > About UI to verify the successful upgrade by checking the version number is 10.

4. Ensure that all previously configured backup jobs and settings are intact.

Upgrading from v10 to v11

1. Run the installer on the server to install the version 11 upgrade package. Follow the wizard prompts to complete the installation.

2. After completing the upgrade, verify that all NAKIVO services are running. If any services are inactive or not functioning correctly, manually restart them.

3. Open Help > About and confirm the version displayed is v11.

4. Check all jobs, repositories, and settings for integrity.
