Question
Should I create a new backup/replication job for the recovered VM?
Answer
NAKIVO Backup & Replication treats recovered VMs as new VMs. If you have recovered a VM and want to protect it, do one of the following:
-
Add the recovered VM to an existing backup/replication job.
-
Create a new backup/replication job with the recovered VM.
The only exception is a VM recovered to a container (host, cluster, resource pool, and so on), which is already protected by an existing job.
In this case, the recovered VM will be automatically added to the job.
