Same Region Replication

1. NAKIVO Backup & Replication initiates the creation of snapshots of selected source volumes.
2. NAKIVO Backup & Replication creates an Amazon Machine Image (AMI) from the source instance configuration and created snapshots.

Cross-Region Replication

1. NAKIVO Backup & Replication initiates the creation of snapshots of selected source volumes in the source region.
2. The snapshots are copied to the target region.
3. NAKIVO Backup & Replication creates an Amazon Machine Image (AMI) from the source instance configuration and copied snapshots.

4. The snapshots are deleted in the source region.
