Cannot Add Existing EC2 Transporter

Problem

The Transporter installed on an Amazon EC2 instance cannot be added. The following error message is displayed:

Cannot add the transporter Please make sure you have entered the correct information and try again. Reason: Invalid security group rules

Background

If the instance with the Transporter does not have appropriate security group rules, adding this Transporter fails and this message is displayed.

Solution

Edit the security group of the instance and add all the required rules.
