Long Response Time of Web UI

Problem

When jobs are running, the NAKIVO Backup & Replication web UI becomes less responsive. There are noticeable click-to-response lags.

Background

NAKIVO Backup & Replication is a server application designed to utilize maximum available resources to achieve the top speed of VM backup, replication, and recovery. If the Director and Transporter are running on the same machine, and the machine does not have enough resources to process multiple jobs simultaneously, click-to-response time of the web UI may increase.

Solution

Make sure that the machine on which NAKIVO Backup & Replication is installed meets the system requirements for CPU and RAM.

If the issue persists, do one of the following:

• Add more resources (CPU and RAM) to the machine where the product is installed.

• Deploy and configure and additional Transporter:

  1. Install an additional Transporter.

  2. Move your backup repository to the new Transporter, if required.

  3. Edit your jobs to use this new Transporter.

  4. Remove the Onboard Transporter in Configuration.
