An Amazon EC2 backup job failed because one or more temporary EBS volumes could not be attached to the “X” transporter.
To run an Amazon EC2 backup job successfully, it’s important to make sure that the platform and type of the Amazon EC2 instance with the transporter assigned to the backup job is similar to the Amazon EC2 source instance.
To solve the problem do either of the following:
- For the Amazon EC2 backup job, assign the transporter deployed to the EC2 instance that has a similar platform and type as the source EC2 instance.
- If there is no compatible transporter available in the inventory, deploy a new transporter in Amazon EC2 making sure you choose the right instance type and platform.
