The replication or recovery job fails with cannot start and returns the following error:
There is not enough space on the target datastore/storage
During For initial VM replication and recovery jobs with enabled Hot Add transport mode, NAKIVO Backup & Replication checks the amount of free space on the target datastore or storage. If there is not enough free space, VM processing fails and the above error appears in the product dashboard.storage is larger than the size of all initial replicas or the size of all recovered VMs of the job. For incremental VM replication and recovery jobs, the product checks if there's more free space on the target storage than the minimum value set by the user during job creation. Target datastore minimum free space can be set as a percentage or MB/GB value.
To solve the problem, make sure that the following requirements are met:
- For the initial VM replication and VM recovery, the amount of recovery jobs: there is more free space on the target storage should be larger than the size of all initial replicas or the size of all recovered VMs of the job.
- For incremental VM replication and recovery jobs, : there is more free space on the target storage should have more than 10% of free space availablethan the minimum value (in %/MB/GB) set during job creation.
If replication or recovery job fails when Hot-Add mode is enabled, make sure there is enough space on a target datastore or storage.
