Why Chain of Recovery Points is Recovered Instead of One Selected Incremental Point

Question

I try to recover data from an incremental recovery point on the tape to the target location. Why do I get a chain of recovery points of the backup job instead of only the selected incremental recovery point?

Answer

If a selected recovery point of the recovery from tape job is incremental, NAKIVO Backup & Replication recovers the chain of recovery points starting with the full recovery point, which is the ancestor to the selected recovery point, and up to the selected incremental recovery point.
